The Picardy Spaniel is a medium-to-large pointing spaniel with a slightly wavy brown-roan coat, dropped ears, and a rustic outline.  It is heavier than a setter and built for marsh and field in northern France.

A medium French gundog with a flat coat that sheds, a field voice, and a need for hunt or long wet walks.

The Picardy Spaniel is a French pointing spaniel from Picardy, used on birds in field and wetland.  It is a close relative of the Blue Picardy Spaniel.  The UKC classes it as a Gun Dog.

Temperament

Brush the feathering weekly and dry the ears after swimming.

Moderate.

Health

The breed is generally sturdy.  Ear infections and hip dysplasia can occur, as in other spaniels.
